Selain kamera, kartu memori merupakan salah satu tahap penting saat melakukan pemotretan. Oleh sebab itu tentunya, dibutuhkan cara -cara  yang baik pada memory card supaya kartu tetap tahan lama serta tidak berpotensi menghapus data di dalamnya.

berikut ini adalah trik merawat kartu memori kamera agar awet:

1. Pilih card reader yang mumpuni

Saat mentransfer gambar dari kartu memori ke komputer, tidak sedikit yang langsung menghubungkan komputer dengan kamera. Faktor ini dinilai tidak fisien serta menguras baterai kamera.

2. Pindahkan kartu dengan aman

Setelah mengupload gambar ke kamera dari kartu memory , pastikan mengikuti proses yang aman sebelum mencabutnya dari card reader. Bagi pemakai Windows, gunakan alternatif safely remove hardware' atau 'eject' bagi penggguna OSX.

3. Perhatikan lampu indikator

Perhatikan lampu yang ada di kamera khususnya seusai menggunakan mode burst atau continous shooting. Ketika mengambil tidak sedikit jepretan, kamera memperlukan waktu untuk menuliskan data ke dalam memory card.

Jangan matikan kamera saat piranti kamu melakukan buffering image sebab ini dapat mengakibatkan gambar hilang. Faktor ini juga berlaku saat mentransfer image melewati reader. Jangan mematikan komputer atau memindahkan kartu saat lampu di reader tetap menyala.

4. Jangan panik bila kartu memori terkena air

5. Update kartu memori

Meski usia kartu memori telah mendapat peningkatan dari waktu ke waktu, tetapi disarankan bagi pemakai untuk tetap mengupdate kartunya.
